Fat deposits on the upper arms lead to flabby-looking arms, and judging by web searches on the subject, they are a source of concern for a lot of people. But they are not such a simple problem as advertisers would have you believe. Despite the claims of exercise machine vendors and self-proclaimed weight loss experts, there is no way to target different areas of fat in your body with either diet or exercise. There are no foods, diets, or exercises that specifically reduce arm fat.
If you lose enough weight, your arms will probably become slimmer, but they may not be the first area to do so, and they may not shrink as fast as you want. You can tone your arms with specific exercises. Toning may improve their appearance somewhat, but you really can’t get rid of the flab without reducing the amount of fat in your body.
No Miracle Cures
Rather than look for a miracle cure for your flabby arms, take a systematic approach: reduce your body fat through diet and tone your muscles with strength training. Then, when you subsequently remove excess fat using the Cryoskin process, you will get a more permanent result.
1. Diet. There’s no mystery here. Because we measure energy expenditure and food intake in the same units, the equation is brutally simple:
calories in = calories out + excess fat
So the first step to reducing fat anywhere on your body is to track both the calories you take in and the calories you expend, including your BMR (basal metabolic rate), which is the calories you burn doing nothing (there are a number of places on the web that will help you calculate it). If the amount you expend is greater than the amount you take in, you will begin to lose fat.
2. Toning. There are resources all over the web for exercises that will tone your arms, both with weights and without. We found some that look both interesting and effective at Prevention and Livestrong. You may need a set of light dumbbells, but it shouldn’t take too much effort or too many weeks to get the muscles of your arms in shape. Just pick a workout routine that you can stick with and follow it consistently.
3. Cryoskin. Finally, with your body fat at a healthy percentage, and your arm muscles well toned, remove the excess fat in your arms with targeted Cryoskin sessions. The Cryoskin 3.0 wand is very precise and can target specific areas of your body, like your upper arms.
Why Cryoskin Removes Fat
Cryoskin works because the intracellular electrolytes of the fat cells are the first to crystallize in very cold temperatures. By regulating the temperature precisely, the Cryoskin 3.0 wand is able to crystallize fat cells before any crystallization of skin, muscle, or nerve tissue. The crystallized cells die and then are flushed out gradually through blood, lymph, and ultimately urine. Encouraging results are often visible from the first session, but the best results appear 15 days to three weeks after the first session, which is how long it takes the body to naturally remove all the dead cells. In fact, for multiple sessions, you are advised to allow 15 days between them, so as not to overload the lymphatic system.
To get your arms looking their best, follow up on diet and exercise by booking a few Cryoskin 3.0 sessions at Peak Recovery & Health Center.
